Our story
EGO Initiative was born from a reality that deeply moved us: many young girls become mothers without having chosen it or without being prepared to take on this responsibility alone. Some are abandoned by their partner after a pregnancy, others are victims of violence or exploitation. Without resources or opportunities, they often find themselves raising their children alone in difficult conditions.
Yet we saw in them not only vulnerability, but a potential that only needed a chance: to learn, work, start businesses, and offer a better future to their children.
It is from this conviction that EGO Initiative was born, officially established in 2023 under Ministerial Order No. 530/751 of 29/06/2023.
Since then, we have worked to support young people and single young mothers through training, education, skills development, and guidance toward livelihoods, so that they can progressively become autonomous and take charge of their own future.
Because we believe an opportunity can change a life, and a transformed life can change an entire generation.
